This reminded me that during the Bioblitz in May 2015 we found at least 4 bumble bee species on the lupine. Bombus vosnesenskii, B. vancouverensis, B. melanopygus, and B. mixtus.

I don't think we will ever recover the river pre-dam. Human 'ecological restoration' is also environmental engineering. We also need to remember that these landscapes pre-dams were environmentally engineered by Elwha People and surrounding Indigenous communities.
